In Case of Anesthesia’s megavertebrate ventilator is a portable, compressed oxygen gas-powered, venturi enhanced, manually triggered, demand ventilator. When attached to a proper regulator and medical oxygen tank, it is capable of providing variable tidal volumes to assist ventilation in intubated mega-vertebrates from 350 kg to 7000 kg. Due to the internal venturi, the ventilator provides an FiO2 of approximately 42% at normal delivery pressures.

The kit includes the megavertebrate demand ventilator with a manometer for monitoring end-inspiratory pressures; a 12-inch oxygen line extension with a hand-tight connector to attach to the oxygen line; a 40-inch long, flexible, ventilator extension hose; a hose connector with an ETCO2 sampling port; a safety tailpiece filter; a female-female DISS oxygen adapter for versatility in connecting to oxygen sources; a mouth strap with rope to assist in intubation; a padded gear bag with shoulder strap; and an Instruction Manual.

It is important that all accessories for the ventilator are rated for medical grade oxygen use. This includes a medical grade oxygen tank to power the unit and provide purified O2 for the patient, a medical grade oxygen regulator and medical grade oxygen high pressure hose.
